However, if you are tech savvy then you may be able to perform all the needed networking and installation yourself. You can easily purchase cheap web cam, sometimes referred to as nanny cam, hardware and install your color security cameras in key areas around your home.
You will need to determine if these are going to be through Wi-Fi or hard line cable however. Each comes with pros and cons. Wi-Fi is simple and has less clutter in the form of cables. However, they can be hacked from external computer sources that break your password. Hard lines are easier to install generally and their feeds can only be re-routed from the main computer in person unless it is hooked up to the internet. However, cords can be cut and need to be placed out of the way.
