This is not a requirement with the infrared. This camera is used for day or night, and is for, inside or outside use. It is fully weather proof. The picture stays clear and sharp in temperatures down to twenty below zero. This Sharp CCD Color Camera can be hooked up to a television or a monitor. These cameras have multiple settings so the users define exactly what works, for his situation. The lenses can be adjusted for focus, both near and far. For this reason, we have, at times, set one to watch the parking lot over night, as recently a newspaper stand was found with some tampering.
What we wish these cameras had is wireless type connection. With the cables, we are somewhat limited in the placement. We would also prefer batteries to the dc.
